MINIATURE SIMULATED DEBRIS >MINIATURE SIMULATED DEBRIS >
Debris [metro01] is a curated urban clutter blend for miniature dioramas and scale model scenery, designed to capture the look of discarded scraps, litter, and ground-level mess in scale.
It brings life and story to any scene, from alleyways, sidewalks, and construction zones to dumpsters and forgotten corners. Made from twenty unique, artist-grade ingredients, Debris creates random, realistic textures that shift, settle, and fuse naturally when sealed. Featuring Augmelt™ technology, it dissolves and locks into place under scenic cement, diluted PVA, or matte medium, leaving behind organic, lifelike detail that simple scatter can’t match.
- Curated mix of 20 urban debris materials
- Ideal for miniature terrain, sidewalks, dumpster scenes, and urban ruin scatter
- Augmelt™ technology for customizable melt and realism
- Lightweight, scale-neutral, artist-grade composition
- Compatible with scenic cement, diluted PVA, matte medium, and other hobby adhesives. Includes pipette for glue application (glue not included)

scale-adaptable
Designed to stay scene-neutral. Whether you’re working in 1:64, 1:35, or 1:12, debris adapts naturally to a wide range of scenes and settings.
field-tested materials
Developed through hands-on building and obsessive testing. No bulky fillers, no wasted space, just lightweight, artist-grade material that performs in real-world projects.

not just a dust bunny
Yeah, we get it. At first glance debris looks like we bottled up a dust bunny and called it art. But every ingredient is lightweight, artist grade, and chosen to add authentic texture without bleeding, staining, or messing with your scene.
Composed of more than twenty tested materials, each fragment is tuned for ambiguity. The forms are unrecognizable but believable; the colors sit between natural and synthetic. Together they build convincing complexity without ever revealing what you’re looking at.
That fuzziness you see? That’s Augmelt™ technology. A mix of melt-away fibers and other liquid-soluble components that vanish under diluted PVA or scenic cement. Augmelt™ locks the debris in place while creating one-of-a-kind textures that look naturally formed. What looks like trash is actually engineered for realism.
meltdown in progress
When the glue hits, the meltable components begin to soften and disappear. Light coverage creates a subtle collapse for natural variation, while heavier application fully dissolves the soluble fibers and fillers. As it dries, the texture stabilizes, locked in place with realistic depth and density.
See the dissolving timelapse below, using the included pipette and light glue application.

Coverage: Coverage depends on how much clutter you want to build. A single jar of debris [metro01] can stretch across dozens of scenes when used for light detailing, adding litter to sidewalks, dumpsters, and corners. Or you can pour it all into one impressive large-scale environment to create the look of overwhelming, layered debris. How messy you make it is up to you.
what is it?
Debris [metro01] is a curated texture blend made from twenty lightweight, artist-grade ingredients. The mix combines printed scraps, plastics, metallics, fibers, and other elements to capture the layered look of urban litter and ground debris at scale, ideal for sidewalks, dumpsters, and forgotten corners.
Each jar features Augmelt™ technology, a combination of melt-away fibers and liquid-soluble components that respond to diluted PVA, scenic cement, or matte medium. These elements can dissolve fully or partially, locking the debris in place while creating natural, one-of-a-kind textures. Glue is not included.
glue information
Debris [metro01] is designed to work with liquid adhesives that activate its Augmelt™ components. Use the included pipette to apply diluted PVA, scenic cement, or matte medium. All perform well, partially or fully dissolving the meltable fibers and soluble fillers to lock the debris into a stable surface as they dry.
Other glues and sealers may work depending on your project, and experimentation is encouraged.
instructions
Bring the aftermath to scale with ease. Debris Metro01 is simple to work with and adapts to almost any scene, whether you’re cluttering a sidewalk, filling a dumpster, or layering scraps into forgotten spaces. Follow these steps to get the most out of every jar.
- Shake the container vigorously to remix ingredients that may have settled. Pro tip: carefully open the jar upside down to bring the smaller bits to the top.
- Use your fingers or tweezers to place debris where you want coverage. Gently separate and fluff the fibers as you apply it to the desired area.
- With the included pipette, drip diluted PVA glue, scenic cement, or matte medium over the debris. Watch as it reacts with Augmelt™ technology — light application yields a subtle, partially melted effect, while heavier coverage fully dissolves the meltable components and locks everything in place. Spray application will create more uniform partial melts.
- Let dry. Material can be nudged or adjusted with tweezers or tools before fully set.
lab tips
-
Make debris even messier and more realistic by adding paint. Try dripping, diluting, or dry brushing to create stains, splashes, and highlights that suggest real-world wear and tear.
-
For ultra realism, mix in your own props like paper scraps, food wrappers, or litter pieces to tell a more specific story within the debris.
-
Layer and repeat applications to build up deeper piles and achieve more complex, natural-looking texture.
